What is scalp micropigmentation?
Scalp micropigmentation is a form of cosmetic tattooing. We replicate hair follicles for people suffering from different types of hair loss. We use a specially designed machine that distributes pigment into your scalp. This treatment requires no surgery and is an amazing procedure for both men and women suffering from hair loss. Scalp Micropigmentation is for both men and women who are suffering from hair loss. It can create an effect for men of having a freshly shaven head, making you look years younger. It can fill in spaces for both men and women giving the effect of fuller thicker hair and strengthen hair lines.
Each session can last between 2 and 4 hours. On average clients require 3 sessions.
It usually takes 1-2 weeks.
It usually takes about 4 weeks in total after the first session. We will provide you with all of the aftercare information you will need the day of your consultation.
You can shave the morning before your procedure. It is recommended to wait a minimum of 4 days after treatment to shave again. An electric foil shaver is recommended.
We NEVER reuse our needles, they are all sterile and disposable.
For optimum results, and to increase the length of retention long term, we recommend that you use a sunscreen with SPF 30 to 50, or greater, everyday to keep you looking fresh. We also recommend never using tanning beds after your procedure.
As with any cosmetic tattooing procedure, retention can vary greatly from person to person. Factors such as skin type and lifestyle can cause some to lose pigment quicker than others. Results typically last 3-7 years before full touch up is needed.
